Dopo due anni di confini limitati e orizzonti ravvicinati abbiamo concepito il Salone del Mobile di quest’anno come un viaggio attraverso il mondo, le culture, le tradizioni, i colori, i suoni e i materiali. Un ritorno ad assaporare con i sensi non solo ciò che ci circonda da vicino ma anche ciò che resta al di fuori della nostra portata, un percorso che attraverso i vari ambienti evoca emozioni e sensazioni e fa vagare la fantasia. Lo stile è sempre quello di SICIS, ricco di dettagli, materiali e accostamenti audaci. Uno stile in cui si vanno a fondere ispirazioni che arrivano da tutti gli angoli della terra per dare vita ad ambienti ricchi di carattere e personalità. After two years of limited boundaries and up-close horizons, we’ve conceived this year’s Salone del Mobile as a journey across cultures, traditions, colours, sounds and materials of the world. A return to savour with the senses what surrounds us closely and what remains beyond our reach; a path that, through the various ambiences, evokes emotions and sensations and lets the imagination wander. The style is always that of SICIS, rich in details, with daring materials and combinations. A style in which inspirations from the corners of the Earth merge to give life to rooms full of character and personality.

EAST

Il primo ambiente che incontriamo evoca l’estremo Oriente, giocando sul minimalismo giapponese con contaminazioni che arrivano dall’Asia continentale, più ricche e colorate. I toni neutri del divano Dorian si contrappongono al caldo vermiglione della madia Fluxus. La libreria Osaka con i suoi elementi aperti e ariosi gioca sulle texture alternando le venature dell’ebano ai laccati vivaci. Linee rigorose, tavoli tondi e pieni in perfetta armonia con la filosofia Feng Shui, come il tavolo Osas. O ancora il tavolino Mars, elegante connubio di curve e materiali. Pareti quasi spoglie, ravvivate da elementi strutturali in Vetrite che ricordano minerali terrestri. The first ambience we meet evokes the far East, playing on Japanese minimalism with contaminations from continental Asia, richer and colourful. The neutral tones of the Dorian sofa are juxtaposed with the warm vermilion of the Fluxus sideboard. With its open and airy elements, the Osaka bookshelf plays on textures alternating the veins of ebony with bright lacquers. Rigorous lines, rounded and solid tables perfectly harmonised with the Feng Shui philosophy, like the Osas table. Or the Mars coffee table, an elegant combination of curves and materials. Almost bare walls, enlivened by structural elements in Vetrite that remind us of terrestrial minerals. 7

NORTH

Dall’Oriente ci spostiamo nelle fredde regioni subartiche, dove troviamo una celebrazione dello stile nordico. Colori chiari e luminosi per ravvivare l’atmosfera nelle lunghe notti invernali. Un grande spazio aperto, intimo e accogliente in puro stile hygge, fatto di arredi semplici e funzionali. Il grigio neutro del divano Milton è accostato a cuscini dalle morbide tonalità azzurro polvere e blu acciaio. La libreria Blake e il nuovo sistema giorno Blade alternano legno laccato, legno in finitura naturale e metallo lucido in forme dalla geometria asimmetrica. Metallo lucido finitura champagne ripreso anche dalle essenziali lampade Polo. Le pareti, rivestite in Vetrite, grazie ai riflessi e alla retroilluminazione contribuiscono ad amplificare e rendere più luminosi gli spazi. From the East, we move to the cold subarctic regions, where we find a celebration of the nordic style. Light and bright colours enliven the atmosphere of the long winter nights. It’s an ample open space, intimate and welcoming in pure hygge style, made of simple and functional furnishings. The neutral grey of the Milton sofa system is combined with cushions coming in soft powder blue and steel tones. The Blake bookshelf and the new Blade day system alternate lacquered wood, natural finish wood and polished metal in shapes with an asymmetrical geometry. A glossy champagne metal finish was also chosen for the essential Polo lamps. The walls, covered in Vetrite, contribute to amplifying and making the spaces brighter thanks to the reflections and the backlighting. 31

Dall’estremo nord scendiamo al di sotto dell’Equatore, dove ci attendono i colori caldi della terra abbinati a pareti grezze. Lo spazio è dominato dall’ampio sistema di sedute componibili Botero con le sue forme curve e accoglienti confezionate con pelli e tessuti dai toni naturali con accenti ruggine. Sul pavimento un grande tappeto chiaro dall’iconico decoro wave dà luminosità all’ambiente. Elemento caratterizzante che cattura l’attenzione sono le grandi maschere di ispirazione tribale appese alla parete, realizzate a mano e parte di una Capsule Collection dedicata. From the far north, we descend below the Equator, where the warm colours of the Earth, combined with rough walls, await us. The central space is occupied by the Large Botero sofa system with its curvy and welcoming shapes upholstered with leathers and fabrics in natural tones with rust accents. On the floor, a large carpet with the iconic wave decoration gives brightness to the room. The characterising elements that catch the attention are the big tribal-inspired masks on the walls, handmade and part of a dedicated Capsule Collection. 61

Il nostro viaggio ci porta poi nell’ovest degli Stati Uniti, con ambienti che richiamano lo stile modernista e il design anni 60-70 fatto di geometrie e arredi lineari. Troviamo il sistema divano componibile Zeno, qui presentato in due delle svariate possibili configurazioni, con le sue sedute avvolgenti in pelle o tessuto. Gli ampi braccioli possono essere arricchiti dall’elemento libreria in pelle per ospitare libri e riviste. Le poltroncine Thea presentano inediti tessuti della collezione Tessere in un mosaico di tonalità dal beige al verde muschio. E ancora librerie in ebano, tavolini in Vetrite e metallo e una porta scorrevole in Vetrite semitrasparente che porta alla zona letto, presentata come anticipazione della nuova collezione di porte. Our journey leads us to the west of the United States, with ambiences that recall the modernist style and the 60-70s design made of geometries and linear furnishings. We find the Zeno composable system presented in two of its various possible configurations, with its enveloping seats in leather or fabric. The wide armrests can be enriched with the bookcase element in leather to host books and magazines. The Thea armchairs feature new fabrics from the Tessere collection in a mosaic of hues from beige to moss-green. And again, ebony bookcases, coffee tables in Vetrite and metal and a sliding door in semi-transparent Vetrite that leads to the bedroom, here presented as a preview of the new doors collection. 87
