The setup and presentation of Sicis collections at the 2024 Salone del Mobile are a celebration and further affirmation of the brand’s dual essence. On one hand, there is the decorative spirit that stems from years of research, exploration, and reinterpretation of classical stylistic iconography. On the other hand, there’s the more innovative, colourful, and exuberant soul that, together, has given life to iconic collections recognized worldwide. This year, Sicis opens its historical drawers and reissues products, styles, and mosaics, creating lifestyles and environments full of personality, rich in references, shapes, and nods to a past that remains relevant today. The presentation unfolds through a series of rooms, each with its unique characteristics, where the furnishings from both new and past collections coexist seamlessly. Additionally, this year, Sicis focuses on two significant projects that once again emphasize their ongoing exploration of interior design to create a total living experience and cater to the needs and tastes of clients worldwide: the kitchen and a new outdoor range. The 2024 Salone setup welcomes visitors to an ideal garden, where the new outdoor furniture collection, MAYA, takes center stage. Inspired by classical naturalistic iconography, this collection features mosaic panels and Vetrite elements. The revamped outdoor range elevates garden furniture from the early 1900s to contemporary design, blending decorative motifs with modern proportions. Polypropylene cord weaves create intricate “macramé” patterns on stainless steel structures, supported by Baydur60 bases—a high-density polyurethane that ensures both durability and lightness. These pieces are further treated with highly resistant coatings. The new outdoor furnishings proposal also introduces the BERCY collection of outdoor fabrics, inspired by precious marble mosaic carpets from Sicis. These fabrics beautifully replicate garlands of flowers and leaves in artistic marble mosaics. As for accessories and complements, Sicis has developed a new range of BOHEME lamps and chandeliers for both indoor and outdoor use. These pieces seamlessly blend decorative style with the fresh offerings of the 2024 collection. Accessories in Glazed Ceramic, Resin Tables, and Glass Tops complete the MAYA outdoor collection. Overlooking the garden is the new RIALTO kitchen environment—a design characterized by softened geometric lines, functional curves, and meticulous attention to proportions. This decorative and elegant project offers ample compositional possibilities. The originality of Vetrite inserts, the champagne satin-finished metal, and the meticulously crafted wooden caning showcase a new idea of timeless international luxury. The program offers great modularity with customized compositions and tailored solutions, designed to meet the most demanding requests from international clients. The absolute protagonist is the central island, distinguished by its soft and sinuous forms. The numerous compositional alternatives contribute to the design modularity of the Sicis kitchen. To enhance the central island, there’s the possibility of adding an overhanging table, available in round or ellipsoidal shapes, which rotates on a central pivot to create more convivial space. After the kitchen, we encounter a living area with a POP, explosive, and vintage style, representing the most colourful and original spirit of SICIS culture. The upholstered furniture and the new CIRCUS poufs/tables are adorned with customdesigned LEAVES jacquard fabrics by SICIS. The dining table and coffee tables from the new LEON collection boast sculptural features, precious finishes, and Vetrite and artistic mosaic inserts. The wall coverings are interpreted as multimaterial grand paintings, adding originality to the room. This year, Sicis showcases the richness of its furnishing proposals by reissuing some iconic pieces from its Next Art collections. In particular, certain seating, reimagined with new coverings, become iconic totems—textile sculptures that coexist harmoniously with contemporary environments, presented as art pieces that lend character and uniqueness to the space. The adjacent room serves as an informal bedroom, exuding a mysterious atmosphere partly due to one of the new proposals from Sicis Wall Covering program. The BOTERO upholstered pieces are enriched with a new bed proposal, featuring generous proportions and inviting forms for rest. The fabric coverings—jacquard, printed leather, and nabuk—are meticulously finished with precious details. The new GIUNCO suspensions, available in different glass colour variants, illuminate the scene. Their three different sizes allow for clustering or individual presentation. A spacious wardrobe, crafted using the BLADE System, once again demonstrates the program’s versatility and the myriad customization options offered by its materials. A small outdoor space, resembling a private garden, completes the environment. The next environment is an internationally inspired living space. Its sinuous and soft forms, complemented by natural colours and dark material details, create a room with an eclectic taste. The dining area features a large table with rounded and irregular shapes. The table’s significant length of 440 cm showcases Sicis’ ability to meet the needs of all clients, thanks to a wide variety of finishing materials and the possibility of creating bespoke furnishings. The ATHENA chairs are crafted using molds and elegantly dress the table. Their beauty lies in the intricately carved leather upholstery, featuring a leaf motif. This same motif is echoed in the new PALMARES jacquard fabrics used for the KYOTO sofas, which are versatile enough to be perfect for common spaces. Additionally, the TULIPA armchairs are reintroduced in a new jacquard fabric with leather and hide details. The new KATANA lighting system, featuring tubes made of Vetrite and metallic joints, is showcased in various compositions and types. It’s a comprehensive range (including floor, suspension, and cluster options) that seamlessly fits into all indoor spaces. Thanks to the myriad finishes available for Vetrite and metals, it can take on diverse connotations. Notably, you can create large, freely arranged compositions to illuminate every corner of your home. The journey of discovering the new collections culminates in the lounge/bar room, where Sicis’ colourful and pop decorative style explodes in all its opulence. Customprinted carpets, multicoloured wall coverings, and artistic mosaic paintings personalize the environment. In this room, new upholstered pieces and textile furnishings are exhibited, enriching the collection with fresh originality and innovative uses. At the center, we find the grand SAVAGE pouf day bed, upholstered in the precious LEO COUTURE jacquard fabric. This piece will be part of a larger collection, featuring day beds in various sizes designed not only for residential spaces but also for contract and hospitality settings. The informal and modular ECLIPSE sofas/poufs, thanks to their printed coverings designed by Sicis and offered in a mix-and-match approach, assume different styles each time. The playful and colourful SADDLE poufs, always clad in exclusive printed velvet, add a touch of whimsy. For seating areas, Sicis has designed new PARADISE armchairs, adorned with embroidered backrests that echo the paradise bird theme. This motif is also found in the large oval mosaic paintings. The KATANA lighting system illuminates the space, while the carpets throughout the exhibition belong to a new collection that combines different types of carpets through stitching and heat sealing, with some sections featuring mosaic patterns.
